Virtual Space Draft

The diagram starts off with the small room which contains the thing which act as a gateway that lead the viewer to another different space. on the outer layer is the matter of facts about the object such as materials, construction etc.... The next part is the historical aspect (transition of ornaments) which is the key element gives the thing a portal quality. The next part is the portal space that was being formed when the viewers eye look at the thing. it is the mount Meru that is the core idea of the design of Bussabok. The second layer from the top of Mount Meru is the origin of Phra Chao Yukantorn name therefore it will be the main space that will exhibit the information of sociopolitics. under the Thing is the counterthing that is upsidedown. It is another different vertical axis that leads tot he counter thing that triggers the creation of the future world.

  1. Hi Namon
I think you are separating things to much. All the information that you are proposing to show has a direct relationship to one and another. And should therefore be visible in the same space I think. The more important matter is how are you going to show the parallel "universes" or physical reality and mental space, together. They cannot be in separate spaces, or maybe not even in separate places. In other words, I think they should overlap and exist in the same place. In this case you would have to create a way to show how they are different. Either the real world where your body is, is material with textures etc. And the mental space is transparent. Or I don't know. The other issue is that the world you are transported to is different for different people. This you need to address and be able to show. So perhaps there are different areas of the space that you can would into, and see the perspective of a tourist who knows nothing, an academic who know everything about Thai cosmology etc etc. Maybe I misunderstand parts of your proposal. Sounds very very promising in general. Remember that now everything has to come together in one space. Even matters of concern such as history, materials etc.
